A few notes regarding the SES Chain taking place 6th June 2019.
Thank you for taking the time to read these few web pages regarding the Special Event Stations Chain which is being run to commemorate the 1944 D-Day Landings.
Certificates of participation:
QUALIFICATION: Any operator who contacts two or more of the Special Event Stations in the Chain will be eligible (subject to confirmation) to down load a certificate.
CLAIMING AWARDS: Certificates will be available to down load as soon as possible after every station in the chain has uploaded their electronic logs to the Torbay Amateur Radio Society (TARS) logging Robot.
Adjudication/confirmation of qualification for certificates of participation is entirely at the discretion of the TARS Event Organising team; their decision(s) are final.
TIMINGS: Please remember that this is NOT a competition, every station in the chain will be on the air from 0630 hrs UTC until 2359 hrs UTC on the 6th of June 2019 - they may well be on the air before or after the event, but QSO's logged outside of these timings will not count towards the Op Overlord Award Certificate.
Please ensure that you comply with the DX Code of Conduct at all times.
On behalf of all the operators, support teams, everyone else involved in helping to make this event a success our sincere thanks to you for taking part and making it all worthwhile!

ATTN ALL STNS.
We have received an email from Eddie (KI4ZRH) in the USA, he's informed us that most of the frequencies we are intending to use during the D-Day SES are out of the General Class US operators allocations (equivalent to the UK Intermediate level).
In an effort to make the chain accessible to all, as req by our NOV's, it is suggested that we make use the following frequencies, AS WELL as those already published:
5405 kHz (common US/UK) - 5403.5 kHz Tuning Freq.
(Please ensure you stay in band/allocation if using the 60m band.)
7.175 MHz and listening 5-10 kHz UP
28.275 or 28.444 MHz
